Biddenden is an enchanting English Village set in the picturesque countryside of the South East of England.  Lattice-windowed Flemish Weavers Cottages stretch the full length of the south side of the High Street, which is flanked on both sides by fossilized stone, quarried long ago from nearby Bethersden. Biddenden is a Village not just famous for its pretty High Street, but also for its most attractive sign on the Village Green.  This features a pair of Siamese Twins, known as the Biddenden Maids, and was carved and painted by a local craftsman. The Village has an excellent variety of friendly shops including: a Post Office, General Convenience Store with a Newsagents for Sweets and Lollies, Grocery Section, Bakery and an Off License. There is a Butchers Shop, a brilliant Hairdresser, a Michelin Star Restaurant, a wonderfully welcoming Old Country Inn with a separate Restaurant, Ye Olde Maids Restaurant, a Tea Room and a Gift Shop. There is an Indian Restaurant that has a Take-Away service and a Chinese Take-Away as well. There are numerous Golf Clubs in the general area including: Biddenden, Hawkhurst, Headcorn, Sutton Valence, Tenterden, London Beach, the highly thought of Championship Course at Chart Hills and finally, the famous Links Course at Rye.

For commuting purposes, the Mainline Station at Headcorn - some 4.9 miles away - has train services to London Bridge, Charing Cross and Cannon Street. The new fast link to London from Ashford International only takes 38 minutes and is persuading the "smart money" into this area, taking advantage of the excellent house prices, educational choice and the quality of life. Ashford International - some 14.8 miles away - also provides rail links to Europe. Junction 8 of the M20 Motorway offers road links to the South Coast and the M25 leading to London, Lakeside, Bluewater, Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted Airport and Kent International Airport at Manston. The full UK Motorway Network can be accessed from the M20. The Euro Tunnel, accessed via Exit 11a on the M20, provides an excellent Train service for motorists wishing to travel with their cars over to Calais.
