The historic Village of Goudhurst is arguably one of Kent's highest, most picturesque Wealden Villages and is dominated by an old Norman Church overlooking the High Street. The Village has a fine selection of period, Kent-peg tile and white weather-boarded properties that lead down the hill to the Duck Pond.

There are a wide variety of friendly Shops with good old-fashioned service including a busy General Store, Newsagents with Post Office, Chemist, Family Butchers with Grocery section, Bakers and Tea Shop, Antique Shop, Gift Shop, three Hairdressers, a Beauty Parlour and a Tile Company. The Grade II Listed Village Hall lies at the centre of our fabulous community and is available for Private Hire.

There are four welcoming Country Inns in Goudhurst with their own separate Restaurants; both The Goudhurst Inn and The Vine offer tantalising menus to cater for even the most particular of tastes. The Village has a Doctors’ Surgery, Veterinary Surgery and Village Hall. Goudhurst also has two Petrol Stations, both offering a much appreciated personal vehicle filling service plus MOT and General Service facilities. Alongside this there is an old Rolls Royce and other Vintage Cars Showroom and an Estate Agents Office. Risebridge Farm is a much praised, private members only Health Club and Bedgebury Forest offers many leisure activities such as Cycling and a Go-Ape adventure course. Bedgebury Park, set in 125 glorious acres, is a Riding Centre of excellence offering Livery, Cross Country and Outriding through Bedgebury Forest. On the road between Lamberhurst and Goudhurst, Forstall Farm has a Stone Masons, Antique Shop with Upholsterers, Auction Room and a Café. For a more comprehensive range of Shopping facilities the Towns of Cranbrook and Royal Tunbridge Wells are within driving distance. For the commuter there are Mainline Rail Services from the nearby Towns/Villages of Paddock Wood, Marden and Staplehurst (London Bridge approx. 50-55 minutes). On the A21 (linking the South East with the M25 and the rest of the UK Motorway Network) at Kippings Cross you will find a fantastic, new BP Petrol Station open 24/7 for all those late night urges and early morning essentials.  Alongside petrol and diesel, this Garage is home to a Wild Bean Cafe, a Marks and Spencer Simply Food and a very highly regarded Hand Car Wash service.
