The County of Kent is well known as ‘The Garden of England’ and rightly so. The glorious, undulating countryside is highly regarded as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Village of Rolvenden features an unusually wide, pretty High Street providing local shops, including a Village Store and a Post Office. An Antique Shop, with a fascinating Motor Museum to the rear is regularly visited by people of all ages, as is the enchanting Heritage Steam Railway that meanders serenely throughout this area.  Rolvenden Layne is a sleepy little Hamlet within the civil Parish of Rolvenden, approx. 1 mile to the North. The highly esteemed ‘Ewe and Lamb’ Country Inn has a large and welcoming log fire in the friendly rustic bar and a brilliant separate Restaurant. Locally there are a number of character Country Inns, a beautiful Church and a delightful old Mill.

Situated nearby is the enchanting and ancient Cinque Port of Tenterden. This is a quintessentially English, picturesque, tree-lined County Town flanked by Elegant Georgian Houses, with everything from renowned Schools to Sports and Leisure Facilities, and an excellent selection of shopping Stores, including a Waitrose and a huge Tesco’s. The Town also has a variety of excellent Restaurants, friendly Country Inns and fascinating Antique Shops, all within walking distance of each other. For a more comprehensive range of shops and facilities, Ashford has much to offer including a vibrant Designer Outlet Village. For commuters the nearest Mainline Stations are at Headcorn and Staplehurst with trains to London Bridge, Charing Cross and Cannon Street. Ashford International provides rail links to Europe. The new fast rail link to London provides a rail service into Central London taking around 40 minutes. The M20 Motorway offers good road links to the South Coast and the M25 leading to London, Lakeside, Bluewater, Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted Airports. From the M25 one can access the full UK Motorway Network. Euro Tunnel, accessed via Exit 11a on the M20, provides an excellent train service for motorists wishing to travel over to Calais by car in a journey time of approximately 35 minutes.
