The Village of Sandhurst occupies a low ridge near the Kent/East Sussex border between Hawkhurst and Newenden. It is positioned within the renowned Cranbrook School Catchment Area and has a friendly Village Pub offering home-cooked food, an independent Supermarket which incorporates a Delicatessen, Bakery and Post Office, a Tea-Rooms, Petrol Station and a Vineyard.  Here on the Kent/Sussex borders one is surrounded by pretty Villages, County Towns and wonderful scenery.  Historic Hawkhurst Village is some 2.6 miles away with a good selection of Country Inns and excellent Shops for ones day-to-day needs, including a Tesco Supermarket, a Jempsons Supermarket and an excellent organic Butcher.  The enchanting Town of Tenterden has a superb selection of fascinating shops plus a Waitrose and Tesco Supermarket.  Royal Tunbridge Wells with its many Hotels and Restaurants is within easy driving distance and provides a much more comprehensive range of Shopping and Leisure facilities.

For commuters the Railway Stations at Etchingham, Robertsbridge, Staplehurst and Headcorn all provide services to London. Ashford International provides rail links to Europe. Kent is renowned for the quality, choice and commitment to excellence of its educational system in both the public and private sector. Noteworthy schools in the area include: Ashford, Friars, Dulwich, Kings, St Edmunds, Sutton Valence, St Ronan’s, Marlborough House, Cranbrook, Vinehall, and Benenden to name but a few.

Leisure pursuits abound in and around the area, including excellent riding and walking across some of the most beautiful areas in one of the loveliest counties in Britain. A plethora of challenging Golf Clubs are within easy driving distance and for those who wish to pop over to France the courses at Le Touquet beckon.
