Staplehurst offers a wide range of friendly local shops and facilities for one’s everyday needs including a Bank, a Chemist, local Village Stores, a Florist, Petrol Stations, a Library and a Post Office to name but a few. Commuters have the Mainline Railway Station at Staplehurst with a large Car Park and fast and frequent services to London Bridge/Charing Cross (55 mins). One can also travel down the line to Ashford International and connect to The Euro Star or go on beyond to the South Coast including the Dover Docks. The M20 Motorway is some 8 miles away and gives direct, fast access to London, Ashford and the South Coast. From the M20 one can access the complete Motorway Network.

There are both primary and secondary schools locally, including the well-renowned Cranbrook School (a free State Grammar School of Queen Elizabeth in Cranbrook), plus a good selection of excellent independent schools such as Dulwich Preparatory School, St Ronans, Marlborough House, Benenden, Bethany School and Sutton Valence which are all within reasonable driving distance. Angley School in Cranbrook has been totally turned around in the past few years and has continued to get better and better, achieving specialist school status as a Sports College in 2002, a fantastic accolade as the first school in Kent to be awarded this honour. This innovative school enjoys the use of the Weald Sports Centre as well as the Sports Education Centre.

For the equine enthusiast, Duckhurst Equestrian Centre is within easy hacking distance, providing Affiliated and Unaffiliated competition in the disciplines of Show Jumping and Dressage.
