The nearest trains run from Appledore along the Hastings to Ashford line but, for commuting purposes, the nearest Mainline Station is at Headcorn with trains to London Bridge, Charing Cross and Cannon Street. Ashford International provides high speed rail links into London with a service to St Pancras, taking just 38 minutes, and also a link to Europe. There is also a commuter bus service between Tenterden and Headcorn Station during peak periods. The Kent & East Sussex Steam Railway is the country's finest example of a rural light railway.
